Muller’s recent album Kaboom confirms his reputation as a tour de force in the music world. Most people into creative music in Sydney know who James Muller is. His guitar playing has been a mainstay the Australian jazz scene and he must be one of the first names mentioned when discussing world class musicians. James is equally at home with international legends such as Chad Wackerman, Bill Stewart, Vinnie Colaiuta and Matt Pendman to name but a few.
Winner of the National Jazz Awards and two Mo awards for best jazz instrumentalist and best jazz group. He has also won Aria awards for best jazz album, an APRA award and the 2004 Freedman Fellowship.
James has recorded 4 CD’s under his own name. The second, “All Out” won an ARIA award for best jazz album in 2000 and the third, “Thrum” was nominated for the same award in 2002.
