
Places and Spaces is a non profit organisation dedicated to the promotion
of the performing arts. In addition to the music series we are working
on a children's festival (in the meantime visit our partner Arts Rocket)
and supported Maina Gielgud's performances of the Exquisite Hour in 2008.

Places and Spaces is setting the pace for live music in Sydney.
Presenting the finest improvised jazz in styles from gypsy swing to
drumming beats, Places and Spaces draws together the crème of
Sydney’s finest musicians in an audience friendly venue.
Appearing in 2009 the Mark Isaacs Resurgence Band, Judy Bailey's Jazz connection,
Compass, Taikoz, Topology & Karak, the Australian Art Orchestra and many more.
In 2008 we featured James Muller, Kristin Berardi, the Necks, Elana Stone, The Crusty Suitcase band,
Band of 5 Names with Matt McMahon and Phil Slater, Sandy Evans, Bobby Singh & Ben Walsh.

music to a wider audience where artists perform and collaborate in an anything-goes atmosphere,”
says Artistic Director Joanne Kee “Today, tastes and soundbites constantly fuse in reaction to our
