The Places and Spaces music series aims to presenting the finest improvised jazz in styles from traditional trios through to mixing it up with gypsy swing, grunge rock to drumming beats, Places and Spaces draws together Sydney’s finest musicians in an audience friendly venue.
Launching the music @ the factory season was The Necks on 5 March 2008. Our lineup has include Kristin Berardi Band, James Muller, Band of 5 Names, Adrian Klumpes, Elana Stone, Alister Spence, the Alcohotlicks, Citizens of Earth, The Crusty Suitcase Band, The Translators. In 2007 Ceres Solutions partnered with Performing Lines for Sound Travellers, a project designed to increase touring for sound art/electronica, improvised jazz and contemporary classical music. A media release and more details about the project are now available on www.soundtravellers.com.au. This project is supported by the Australia Council for a three year period.
Additionally Ceres has worked in fund raising to produce one of the first online viral campaigns for the Tasmanian Devils - www.tassiedevilappeal.org. This campaign was launched on 17 October 2008 with an interactive feed, breed and release theme.
